ELIGIBILITY:
- Institutional CCUFSA members and their respective individual members are eligible for this scholarship.
CRITERIA:
- Applicants are required to submit a written essay detailing why they feel attending the Hospitality Manager’s Development Course (HMDC) would enhance their career.
- Applicants must have pre-approval from their school/institution to participate in the program.
- Applicants must have pre-approval from their school/institution regarding the funding commitment.

THE PROGRAM : May 15 – 20, 2010
HMDC is a 6-day residential learning program for experienced middle managers who are being prepared to assume wider responsibilities within their organizations. HMDC provides an opportunity for managers with specialized backgrounds to develop a broader based management capability. Since 1987, HMDC has helped over 1,600 industry leaders strengthen their companies' position in the marketplace and are tailor-made for companies who want their people to run the business as if it were their own.

The focus of most classes will be learning from industry based case studies of real-life situations. In addition, one of the highlights of the program is a computerized business simulation. Participants operate their own company, making decisions in finance, accounting, marketing, sales, promotion, production and organizational structure. Participants are able to analyze their financial success as well as their leadership, decision making and communication skills.
